Our Approach

Complete Restoration

We typically only carry out full restorations. This is because anything less often compromises the finished product. Occasionally a car does not require restoration and we will advise the customer to carry the appropriate level of works to bring the car back to it’s best serviceable condition.

Stripdown

When stripping the car to a bare shell, we take over 3,000 photos recording every aspect of how the car was put together in the factory. This allows us to do what we call a ‘washer perfect’ restoration. Every single nut, bolt and washer will be re-installed in exactly the right place. Insulation, carpets and leather are all re-installed new in exactly the same position and overlap as was done in the factory.

Parts Treatment

All of the metal parts taken off the car undergo a treatment that brings them back to their new factory condition. Bare metals are re-galvanised to give them a rust proof protection. Aluminiums are treated to remove microns of dirt and expose the original bare clean aluminium underneath. We then re-build the car with all new parts from Mercedes-Benz. All wiring, rubber, plastic, leather & carpet are replaced.

Bodywork

The body shell is dipped to remove all paint and sealant. What we are left with is a bare metal shell just like what would have travelled down the factory production line. We then carry out any required metal cars. The next stage is to dip the car in an e-coating solution to give it a rust protection consistent with modern cars. Finally it is painted and lacquered with modern UV resistant paints that will ensure longevity of an excellent paint finish
